Description

Packaging: NSTAR is packaged in 1 gallon (4 liter) and 1 quart (1 liter) bottles.
Storage: Store in a dry area between 50 o F and 90 o F (10 o C and 30 o C). Protect from freezing and from high temperatures. Keep bottle closed when not in use.

Directions: Step 1. Make sure that your concrete is porous. For optimal and durable results, NSTAR must penetrate the concrete. Step 2. If the surface of the concrete is sealed, remove the sealer with ISR (Interstar Sealer Remover). Thoroughly clean the surface of the concrete with Interstar multi-purpose concrete cleaner KOPA to remove dust, surface dirt or any other contaminant. Step 3.Working in circular motions on small areas at a time, apply NSTAR with brush, mop, sponge or sprayer. Step 4.For best sealing properties and to obtain more vibrant colors, we recommend a minimum of two coats of NSTAR. Closely monitor the concrete surface and as soon as the entire surface is tack-free, immediately apply the second coat. Please note that because NSTAR has an integrated water-based sealer, waiting too long between coats may result in the second coat not adhering to the first and the desired results might not be achieved. Step 5. Let dry 72 hours.
Important:
- Always test NSTAR for color and penetration on a small section of the surface to ensure the desired results can be achieved.
- Do not dilute the solution with water. If dilution is required, use the NSTAR Dilutor solution.
- Do not use a roller to apply NSTAR.
- Do not use where steel wheel traffic is anticipated.
- Do not apply NSTAR when temperatures are below 50 o F (10 o C) or above 90 o F (30 o C).
- Allow concrete to cure a minimum of 28 days before application.
- Colors may vary depending on the condition of concrete, surface type, thickness of coats, experience of installer and weather.
- Do not apply the second coat of NSTAR until the surface is entirely tack-free.
- Do not apply a solvent based sealer over NSTAR. If a sealer is desired, apply a water-based sealer as soon as the 1st or 2cd coat is tack-free.
- Pool level concentrations of chlorine will not affect NSTAR. If pure chlorine is dropped on the surface wipe it off immediately to avoid discoloration. If excessive amounts of chlorine water are on the NSTAR treated surface, wipe it off.
Although coverage may vary, one gallon (4 liters) of NSTAR can cover approximately 500 ft2 (47m2) for the first coat. A second coat will cover approximately 1000 ft2 (93m2).
